The Renegades Lacrosse K/1st Clinic is open to boys and girls in either kindergarten or first grade.
The clinic's purpose is to introduce the game of lacrosse by teaching basic concepts and developing fundamental skills through fun activities and games.
The clinic includes instruction on the foundations of lacrosse, such as:
- proper grip and hold of the stick
- passing the ball
- catching the ball
- cradling the ball
- shooting on goal
- scooping ground balls
Equipment needed for clinic includes a boys' or girls' lacrosse stick and sneakers or cleats. The clinic is non-contact, so helmets/goggles are not needed.
The clinic runs approximately six weeks, from mid/late April to early June, and is held at New Ford Road Field on Sundays at noon.
